Our congregation hails from a wide farmland area around the Baltic, Ragersville and Sugarcreek disctrict. Local schools include Baltic, Dundee, Miller, and Ragersville Elementaries; and Garaway 7-12 (Garaway Pirates!) in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
Zion UCC of New Bedford is a part of a fellowship group we call 4UCC4 Christ, along with Renners UCC, Baltic UCC and Fiat UCC. Meeting once each month, we sponsor the Pirate Power Packs – backpacks for local elementary children filled with enough food to get them by during non-school hours.
Our Women’s Guild meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Zion UCC basement hall. Some of us come a bit early and do quilting on various projects before our meeting – which is followed by a covered dish supper. New members are always welcome!
Every October we host a Homecoming, where past members come back and visit their old haunts. Everyone was a bit surprised this year when they heard we’ve entered the electronic age with our own website!
Whether you’re eight or over eighty, you might enjoy our Sunday School, held an hour before services each Sunday. Here we discuss Bible passages and try to decipher how it pertains to our daily lives.
We’re fortunate to have a pastor who’s open to suggestion! Pastor Patrick will hold Bible Studies or work with small groups who have an interest in exploring subjects in depth.
Visit our Events page, where you’ll find out about upcoming summertime picnics, social gatherings, and occasional “vacation” days.
And if you’re a past member, we are looking for old photos to publish on our website. If you’re willing to share your photos, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to meet you soon ~ stop by and visit with us any Sunday at 10:30 am!
